Today we are proud to announce the addition of Abby Curran as campaign manager. Governor Culver welcomed Abby today by saying:
Abby is going to be a great addition to our team. We're fortunate to have a campaign leader with Iowa experience who understands the importance of job creation, educational excellence and government reform. There is no doubt she will help us continue to move Iowa forward.
Patty Judge was also excited talk about bringing Abby on board to the campaign:
One of the things Abby understands well is the need to engage our supporters all across the state. Our campaign must be active and strong in all 99 counties, and Abby comes prepared with the knowledge of how to make that happen.
Curran is back in Iowa again, having served as Deputy Iowa Field Director for John Edwards' 2008 caucus campaign. Curran also worked in Dubuque in 2003 and 2004 as a field organizer for Dick Gephardt's caucus campaign. Her experience also includes managing congressional campaigns in New Jersey and Indiana. She is also graduate of the University of Virginia.
And, Abby had a message that she wanted everyone to hear:
I could not be more excited to join Governor Culver and Lt. Governor Judge's re-election effort. Over the past three years, the Culver/Judge Administration has confronted the state's challenges head-on and worked to strengthen Iowa's economy today and long-term. I look forward to helping Governor Culver deliver that positive message over the next 10 months. We are all excited to have Abby on board to help Re-elect Chet Culver this year.
